Emmanu- The Little Scientist

Emmanu is a curious little scientist and is already trying to answer a million different questions during our nursing sessions. 

 1. Is the nose actually detachable from the face? If not, can it move sideways?. Is the answer 'never ever' or 'sometimes' which means I try this exercise every day! 

 2. How stretchable are human lips? Is the upper lip more elastic when compared to the lower lip?

 3. Do humans always reflexly close their eyes when you poke them? even if you catch them totally by surprise?

 4. Do people actually become insane if they lose sleep?

Grow Baby Grow...

Emmanu takes his growth spurt phases seriously.. very seriously! 

If this is a time when I am meant to grow I am going to aim for the stars and try to grow like a coconut tree....

Which means I will feed all night without any sleep on Amma's golden nectar.. I know when prolactin surges so I can grow more!!

I am such a hard worker!!

 No sleeping on my job, Amma! I need to grow..

 PS: In memory of the sleepless night I had 2 days ago when Emmanu stayed awake to feed from 1 am to 4 am.

What does Emmanu like to do?

 Emmanu's new hobby when nursing is to  practice his percussion skills. He would bang on my chest at multiple location and listen intently for the dull or resonant note. Other new found interests are pulling my nose, trying to see if his finger will go inside my nasal caivity and push my face to one side so he could see ears and pull them too if possible. All this is extremely heart warming except when it happens in the middle of the night when all I want is to sleep.
